Sourdough Pizza

Method

Step by step

    Preheat oven to 240 °C with a pizza stone or upturned tray inside.

    On a floured surface, gently stretch the thawed dough into a 28 cm round — push from the centre out, leaving a puffy edge.

    Transfer to a sheet of baking paper. Spread sauce thinly, leaving a 2 cm crust.

  4. 04

    Scatter mozzarella and any toppings. Drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of salt.

    Slide the paper onto the hot stone. Bake 8–12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

    Finish with fresh basil, cracked pepper and a final drizzle of olive oil. Slice and serve immediately.

Baker's tip: For extra char, switch to grill (broil) for the final 60 seconds — watch it closely.
