All the ingredients used have been kept pure and simple and the products are all made by an experienced Herbalist/Aromatherapist registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of SA, the Aroma Forum of SA, the Aromatherapy Society of S. A. and the International Guild of Professional Practitioners (UK). Beauty Without Cruelty International (White List approved member).

The Victorian Garden Personal Care Products use a wide variety of ingredients, including extracts from fruits, herbs, flowers, the earth's minerals, roots, seeds and seaweed extracts.

The various ingredients of their products are chosen for their exceptional ability to destroy free radicals which attack the collagen in the skin resulting in loss of elasticity and the onset of wrinkles and lines.

Anti oxidants such as Vitamin A, E, B and C are powerful anti free radical agents and many of their essential oils and herbal extracts contain these. The cold pressed oils that they use are rich sources of alpha linolenic acid which is the only oil that the human body cannot produce (an Omega 3 fatty acid) and unfortunately is taken out of most of the oils that we consume by mouth, during the processing procedure.

A Proprietary Preservative System is used based on the powerful natural preservation properties of essential oils and colloidal silver (anti fungal, anti bacterial).

VICTORIAN GARDEN HAND CRAFTED SOAPS

Based on Victorian recipes made during the 1800's, these hand crafted soaps contain natural and organic ingredients with the very best sourced essential oils, plant extracts and cold pressed vegetable oils. During the Victorian era, and during the Tudor era (1500's), soap making methods included using the “cold method” which ensured that active organics do not deteriorate as they do when using the “hot method” used by most commercial soaperies. Our soaps are suitable for sensitive skins and are classed as Vegetarian. The soap process removes excess alkali from the bars thus creating a very mild soap. Alkali, used to turn oils into soap, and water are the primary non organic ingredients. Most components come from plant based renewable resources which are farmed and processed without chemicals in a sustainable and Fair Trade manner. When you mix oils, alkali and water, they chemically react and turn into soap and glycerin. The glycerin is then stirred back in to add to the moisturizing qualities of soap.
